"List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to."

When I Get to the Green Building by Electric Six. I just have fond memories of this one..

Hot Soft Light by The Hold Steady. Every year since I bought Boys and Girls in America, it's been my Summer soundtrack. I know it's a bit early but I judge my seasons by how little thinking I'm doing. I don't have to go to class? Beach time! :D

Harpoon Fever by Man Man. Ok I took a chance and bought a Man Man album. And I am so glad that I did! This song particularly is so much fun.

Mariella by Kate Nash. This song reminds me of Michigan State. I think about Courtney, Marci, and Kirsten when I hear it. So I guess it's the next best thing to being around them.

Bron-Yr-Aur by Led Zeppelin. I've had Physical Graffiti forever but I popped it in after not listening to it for awhile and it's my personal belief that I had an epiphany when I heard this song again. I wish I could play it on guitar! It's so good!!

Vice by Razorlight. Another CD I had just set to the side for awhile before remembering how much fun it is. This song isn't live but for some reason it makes me feel like I'm seeing a Razorlight show. Just a good energy.

Sunshowers by M.I.A. I don't think M.I.A. will ever leave my CD player. And this song is so sunny and bouncy. Man, I just love her and this song makes me think of being somewhere tropical and breezy :)

On a side note, not sure if I have 7 other friends to tag, hmmm..

i love film class. i was a little worried about the film we're making at first but now i'm so excited about it. i'm still not sure how it's going to turn out but i've been having so much fun i could really care less at this point. it's very exhausting and time-consuming. on friday we started filming at 9 pm and didn't get done until 6 am the next morning. i loved every minute of it though. i love working behind the scenes and contributing ideas and dialogue and everything. it's really cool to see your creativity appreciated and played out. i've also been having a lot of fun acting in a few scenes - hahaha we'll see how that turns out too XD i love it so much that i'm really praying i get the job at tictock studios this summer. wish me luck! :D i'm pretty sure i've been annoying the entire crew because i just laugh constantly but they're all so funny i can't help it! and i'm always just really enjoying myself when we're shooting. i hope you all get to see the end result, assuming it's halfway decent ;D

The Electric Six show was AMAZING. It blew my mind even more than I thought it would. And we were right in front!!! So close to Dick Valentine...I even got to grab his ass...twice. good lord. dick valentine crooning in my ears + dick valentine ass in my hands = best concert of my life. and this thursday is the new pornographers show!!!! it's gonna be so insane!!! =D yayy!! i can't believe i'm seeing them!!!! they're so awesome!!!!!

Also...It's almost Marci's birthdaaaaaaay =D 21! :O WOO

Also..Kirsten I was thinking it's been too long since we've had a Wet Hot American Summer + beer night. Let's make it happen before the end of the semester :)

Also..Office and Redwings!!

what a crazy day.

my wallet's stolen only to discover that said 'stealer' has not used my urban card yet.

luckily my dad still had the card number. i rushed to the website to spend over $200 as fast as i could.

it was really fun. felt like one of those crazy, running down the hallways shopping-sprees you used to see on nickelodeon in a toys r us.

did a whole bunch of running around trying to replace things from my wallet. all of which were unsuccessful.

except for the hockey tickets that were in my wallet. i bought a new pair of those AND made sure i wrote down the seat numbers of the tickets that were stolen. maybe i'll just happen to come across him/her at the hockey game......

i had no classes today because my one was canceled. that was nice.

and my inbox has been flooded with facebook/myspace comments because it's been such a huge day for movies.

the oscar nominations were announced. go no country!

and r.i.p. heath ledger. he was already my favorite joker. you know this. i still can't believe that's him. he had mad skills.

what a crazy day.

November 4th, 2007

Whew, I hope everyone's midterms went okay. Pssh mine were fine I suppose thanks for asking, bastard!
Sorry for the outburst, but hey, TORONTO!!!!! yayyyyyy
It was a blast being able to sit in a bar and have a pint. It was a looong drive getting there and didn't actually get to our hotel's until almost 11 pm. By that point, we all really needed a drink..

This lead to me trying to change into my pajama's (in the hotel room obviously), falling all over the place, and Marci walking in on me in a truly unpleasant position..
well, it was unpleasant for her and completely splendid for me ;-D bwahahah

Saturday was the only full day we had so we really milked it for all it's worth. In fact, we woke up at about 10 for breakfast at a really cool place called Sneaky D's and were at the bar by 11. I wasn't feeling so hot so I only ordered an entire pint of Labatt Blue (I wasn't thinking straight either). But it actually made me feel a little better! I guess a beer in the morning really is the cure to a hangover.

So I figured I was ready for a pint of Guiness. Sooo delish - I like Guiness anyway and it still tasted a thousand times better on tap. Yumm..

I never had the same drink twice. I was all about trying new things. We even went to a snazzier bar where we could have cosmo's and mojito's! classy. it was very Sex and the City, even though Kirsten and Marci didn't want to associate it with that..That's what it was ;-)

Such a Miranda ;-D

Just kidding..it was very nice of them to take me to do the silly things i wanted to do ;-)
We actually drank pretty steadily all day Saturday and I puked only a small amount at a club called FunHaus later on in the night XD but I felt *incredible* afterward! In fact almost immediately after, I dragged Marci out to the dance-floor because they were playing my favorite Iggy Pop song..

We also did a little bit of shopping and dined on sushi. We tried walking to the Hockey Hall of Fame but it turned out to be pretty far on foot so we decided to turn it back around. Next time hopefully we have more time (and money) for more sightseeing, dining, and shopping (-:

and if you'd like to see more photo's, they're all up on facebook/myspace assuming you are a social networker or douche-bag with shirtless picz.

actual douche-bag footage.

peace love and 'eh.

+~It's been awhile...~+

I haven't even written about the Jimmy Buffett concert yet! I am wayy behind. I may get fired from LJ for being so late on my deadlines. (Or for making such a cheesy, unfunny joke on the canvas they so nicely allow me to tarnish).
Buffett was amazing. Rachel and Niki were tons of fun. Best time of my life

I also went camping this past weekend. Which was great fun. I went with Kyle and his family. They're always a riot and the campfires were memorable. It's always nice to be outdoors - We swam and fished. *le sigh* it was lovely and relaxing.

I've been really happy lately! Buffett, camping, boyfriend, movies, good food, friends - it's been great! Bourne Ultimatum, Hot Rod, and BDubs all in the same day was pretty much what I imagine Heaven is like. Plus, my dreams have been getting better and the few bad ones that I still have haven't effected me as much well after I've had them, like they used to. This weekend I had a dream where I had to kill the Transporter (It was, in fact, Jason Statham too) and for some reason he kept leaving me clues on where to find him (fyi he knew what my mission was ). At one point I was driving my car down Seaway shooting at cars I thought he was in. It was superbadass to say the least. And to really make it cine-dramatic, I woke up before I actually found out if I killed him or not.
I'm gonna go with the more badass possibility...unless the alternative leaves things open for a sequel...
The End...?

lazy, gaining weight, insecure, and unemployed.
nevertheless, i've been very happy.
not sure why that would come as a surprise. i'm pretty sure it's due to the fact that
i'm..well..lazy and unemployed. i've been very relaxed and have had plenty of time to
actually enjoy my summer.
my boyfriend and i had our 3 year anniversary on july 15. it was fun. we decided to have a quiet, romantic dinner at Le Golden' Corralle. It's essentially Ponderosa. Mmmm classy. Then we headed to Craig's Cruisers for arcade games and a heated batting cage competition. Then we ended the night with the light-hearted romp, Die Hard 4. Not bad but a bit long for a full-on action flick. It was quite nice and a relaxed, inexpensive change from last year.
There's not much left of the Summer but I've still been job-searching. I have an interview at WetSeal on Monday so wish me luxorz plz.
There's a ton of things that I'm looking forward to in the next couple of weeks! Rachel and I are having a wine and cheese party/sleepover that I'm sooper excited about. We have two bottles of wine, two different types of moderately expensive cheese, truffles, strawberries, and bread. And of course...
The Annual Jimmy Buffett concert!!! wOOOO!!! fins to left<>

I don't think I'm gonna be working at the car wash anymore. I can't handle Phil and I want to move on anyways. It sucks because I actually liked working there for the most part. But I can't be around Phil and he's full-time in the car wash now instead of the oil change. I'm going to apply to other places, but I'm not sure how much luck I'll have finding someone to hire me for less than a month..:/

The bright side of that is I may actually be able to get through the Summer without a job, considering there's not much left of it, and my last paycheck from the car wash was more than I was expecting. I think I'll still be able to afford Jimmy Buffett tickets and possible Rush tickets for August. And that's all I need .

And on the almost unbearably bright side (almost), this weekend should be a !!mind explosion!! (<3 human giant). My parents will be gone (no parties though - I'm just looking forward to having the house to myself), but I am going to a fish fry on Friday, maybe river tubing and partying on Saturday, and Sunday is Kyle's and my 3 year anniversary. We decided that we're not going to plan anything. We're going to decide on a whim everything we want to do that day. We're for sure going to dinner but we're waiting to see where we feel like eating and what we feel like doing on that day. And then we end up doing things we actually want to do instead of planning every detail a week ahead of time. I thought it's kind of a good, unique idea. We just don't want to spend too much money like last year, which is kind of the reason I'm still broke to this day(!) Plus, I'm almost 100% sure that Kyle got me a hookah!!!! So we can at least get some use out of that since we don't have much money...

And everyone should come over and try it sometime and we'll have a hookah party!

Oh! And PS..There really is no Sonic in Michigan!! I know that doesn't seem right because of all the ads. But there isn't!!! I've checked..

Don't argue with me I can't handle it.

michael cera is not gay. i know it!
*(cause i fucked him.)

PSS! Everyone post your most compelling argument of why Office Space is so funny. I like the movie don't get me wrong. I just don't think it's all that hilarious. GO!

On the other hand, I think I'm the only one who thinks Sarah Silverman is funny...

i miss msu. not class. just kirsten and marci. and grand river.<3
i was even looking at pictures online of campus/red cedar. the river in winter time is currently my desktop background setting <3

i saw transformers! it ruled. not being familiar with the series, i was at first a bit put off that the robots could talk...
until optimus prime uttered "sorry, my bad."
then i was all for it, broseph.

I'm so excited! State won their Frozen Four game so now they play on Saturday (7 pm - ESPN2?) for the national championship! WOO HOO! GO GREEN (I know that's exactly what I said in the last post, but hey, it worked before....superstition i guess..). Everything's been going pretty well except the other day I was an idiot and missed one of my exams!! I couldn't believe it - I had no idea I had one. I went to class the day before the exam and the professor mentioned *nothing* about it!! But it's definitely not his fault considering I didn't check my syllabus. Oh well, I just gotta make sure I do well on the final and our presentation. That's what I'm hating about my classes this semester: I've had presentations in all of them and I definitely am not good with public speaking. But they've gone ok so far I suppose :/
My parents are at Jekyll Island, GA right now in the eighty degree weather while it's
just cooling down again here. Really cooling down...
like freezing..
I hope everyone has a good Easter. I'm not going home for the weekend but I'm really looking forward to it anyways! Tomorrow i'm going ice skating with courtney and scott. and courtney's really really sweet at ice skating (for real, you can even google her) so i'm really excited to see her skate. i'll also have the room to myself which will be nice, but also lonely...because my kirsten is going home ='(. And those of you who had to put up with my complaining all 40 days know that I gave up burrito's for Lent. And tomorrow I'm calling all the mexican restaurants around town to see if they'll be open on Easter! XD
Last weekend was really great. Kirsten's brother, Thorin came to visit and we all had such fun with Borat and tacos and bubble tea. Fun had by all.
I'm planning a lot of screen-staring this weekend. As the campus theater is showing Pan's Labyrinth and Grindhouse starts tomorrow. Can't wait! Oh! And I got advanced tickets to Knocked Up on Thursday and the movie doesn't even come to theaters until June 1st! Hooray!

March 19th, 2007

My second Of Montreal show since Wednesday was last night and it was another great show! I didn't take as many pictures because it was a much more violent show than Wednesday's was. It was still amazing and the energy made it fun. I think I liked the Wednesday show a bit better but only because it wasn't quite so annoying. It was just the right amount of fun and energy without it being scary at all. But it wasn't a hardcore mosh or anything last night. There was just a lot of pushing and elbowing and the worst it did was distract from the show a bit. And Wednesday that wasn't the case at all. ALTHOUGH, last night I *did* get to touch Kevin Barnes!!! Twice!! And the second time I got to for a long time. So I definitely got closer to Kevin on the Sunday show. It was an outstanding show - Man are they awesome!! So amazing. There was one time where Kevin Barnes slid toward the crowd on the stage and briefly made-out with a girl in the front row!!! I couldn't believe it!!! :O What a show...Best concert I've ever went to. I'd follow them around the country if I could.
Also, I think the Wednesday show was longer than the Sunday show. At first I was upset because they didn't play "Wrath Pinned to the Iron Mist", "Disconnect The Dots", "Penelope" and "My British Tour Diary". But to be honest, I seriously doubt that Kevin Barnes will ever perform "Wrath Pinned" again, since the song is about his daughter who he doesn't get to see considering his bitter divorce. Tis sad that it keeps him from performing beautiful songs.
BUT they *did* play all the songs from Hissing Fauna and they played "Chrissie Kiss The Corpse", "Your Magic is Working", "Climb the Ladder", "I Was Never Young", "Rapture Rapes The Muses", "Requiem for OMM2", and "Forecast Fascist Future"
Sighhhh it was awesome.
And at the end of the show, I yelled "MATT DAWSON" and he came up to me and shook my hand.
Priceless.

March 15th, 2007

Ok! Sooooo you know how I said that I was going to see Of Montreal in concert on Sunday..
Well I still am..and I seriously cannot wait. I am literally dying from the resistance of urinating all over my pants. BUT...They also had a show at the same place last night...

My friend, Courtney had tickets to that one. Her boyfriend couldn't go so she offered it to me....
BEST. SHOW. EVER.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO NOW I GET TO SEE THEM TWICE IN ONE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am crying with excitement right now. I had never been to a small venue show before so I could not believe how close we were. Kevin Barnes is unbelievable and seeing him in person and up-close was unreal. I took a *TON* of pictures. But here's my fav as I don't feel like uploading a whole bunch....

Of Montreal definitely put on the best concert I've ever seen and I can't wait to see them again on Sunday and take lots more pictures - the guitarist, BP Helium even grabbed my hand at the end of their show!

Also there was a really great band that opened for them called Grand Buffet. They were the two of the whitest, dorkiest guys ever and they were really awesome, REALLY entertaining rappers. Outstanding!

March 10th, 2007

i don't want this spring break to end. it is awesome blossom, extra awesome. today was a great day. i ate a lot, spent a lot of money and saw a craptastic movie. luckily tomorrow, i get to see 300!!!!!!! woooooooooo

yesterday kyle and i went tubing. it was sooo much fun except when kyle scraped his face against ice. ouch! it looks pretty bad and he was already beat up from pushing the car out of the snow. Needless to say he was pretty sore today.
But today was super aweesome. My mom (who rules by the way) and I went shopping at the mall. She bought a ton of shoes and she bought me a zip-up hoodie i really wanted. Thanks mom :D Then we went to Olive Garden for lunch, went to the movies to see Wild Hogs (not horrible but still pretty silly), and then went to Buffalo Wild Wings for more food. AND to top it off, MSU hockey team won!!! wooo you go guys
Oh yeah! AND Kyle says if MSU loses on Sunday, he'll take me to the third game!!!!!!!!! Nevertheless I don't want MSU to lose on Sunday but I definitely want to see a playoff game...so I'm conflicted. But I think I'd rather MSU just win it on Sunday but if they won't....I just won't be too heartbroken ;) I'm sure they can take them on the third game.
This spring break has been a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. I figured I'd just be sitting around doing nothing - and I was okay with that. i was looking forward to just relaxing. But I've actually done a ton of things. Smoked hookah with Kyle and his sister on Tuesday, had steak dinner two nights in a row (Wednesday and Thursday), I also saw Pan's Labyrinth on Wednesday which was without a doubt the best movie I've seen *at least* a year. Breathtaking ♥Then as I said I went sledding, shopping and ate a bunch of food :) so basically I had the best week ever and I should probably even be on that show 'Best Week Ever' it was *that* good..Also, I LOVE NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i miss The Office =(

Oh deary dear dear...That was a dreadfully scary couple of days I had without my laptop! The charger for my laptop completely died alas so did my laptop - I ordered a new one right away amongst my obsessive panic. I got it 3 days later...Sigh of relief! I could've died...I'll be awaiting my deepest sympathy cards all week.
So Spring Break is going well so far. Haven't done anything and that's exactly what I wanted - just wanted to relax and hang out and have fun :) just chilll outt which is really, especially easy when you're trapped in the house with no car and there's no food in the house because my embarrassingly skinny parents are on diets /:????

I've been having a lot of fun with Kyle but I don't want to speak too soon since that's what it always seems like with him :/ let's just hope it continues to go well and just get better :)

The MSU hockey season didn't end on a good note - but we could still pick up for playoffs. And fury hasn't been playing well either...

The Brian Regan show was amazing! A+++ he's awesome! I haven't been feeling well this week so I also haven't been doing much and I've still felt extra tired. Last weekend I went shopping with Becky - it was a lot of fun. I bought a new pair of pretty sexy sandals..
Yeah, I'm excited to wear them. So much so that I even had a dream the other night that it was nice out; So when I woke up I was very enthusiastic and thought "yayy! I can wear my sandals today." But it turned out it was gloomy, cold and slushy outside so yeah, that didn't happen.
Sushi with the girls was great, except for one friend that just hasn't been very nice lately :/ i kind of figured everyone would at least try to get along especially while having a birthday dinner for someone, and everyone was..except for the one person who just didn't give a shit. oh well :/ i don't think she realized she was being mean - but it was pretty obvious to everyone else..

I had a meeting that was career-related with my AL250 professor. It went really well and I was in a good mood all day because of it. She asked about where I was thinking of living when I graduated (in order to narrow down my occupational searches geographically). I told her that I was hoping Michigan and then said something pretty unexpected...
I said that I had been dating the same guy for almost three years...and because of that, Alaska was also a big possibility. I was okay with it at the time. But whenever I start thinking about it - I'm not sure. I think I still love Kyle...I especially feel like it when I'm spending time with him. But when I'm not, it just gives me more time to reflect on things and remember things that made me mad and I know that's not fair - but I can't help it...and it's not fair to me either. I kind of even feel like I don't care about the relationship as much as I used to. But I'm hoping that helps me enjoy it more and be more laidback about it, instead of worrying and overanalyzing things. We'll just have to see where it goes..

I'm open to anything right now..

Ok soooo right after I posted that last entry about wonderful Kyle, we had a huge, unrelated fight =( It was horrible. It's okay now but it's really going to take me awhile to completely trust him again. And he understands that.
Despite that my weekend was astounding. I ate a ton and bought so much stuff. Tons of clothes, dvd's (strangers with candy complete series!!!!) I'm so excited! My parents came down to visit me for the weekend and it was soo much fun. They essentially, own. They got to go to the hockey game with Kyle and I which of course, after my countless glorifying of the team, they played the absolute worst I've ever seen them play ever. Actually, it wasn't too bad - it was just really hard to defend the team to my mom after that display :/
I also bought tickets to see Brian Regan do stand-up on Thursday. Pretty psyched about that too. He's so awesome - I just hope it's not the same material from his comedy central special.
Not only that, but I'm not even done shopping yet! I'm going on Saturday too!! Woooooooo. I am gonna be crazy broke but oh well. I was really looking forward to getting Of Montreal tickets too with my friends but it sold out =( that would've really made this month extra awesome. but it's okay....

It has been a long long while since I last posted! I'm okay! Feel free to alert the search party of my return because I know you were very concerned considering my whereabouts.
Anyways, a lot has happened! Allow me to fill you in:

Macentaffer and Erin are apparently getting married in a year!!!?!
scandddalllllll~~~ At first I was like, "what idiots" and although I still kind of feel that way...I thought about it and now I'm really excited about the ceremony and the party and everything!! It's gonna be off the chiz-ain.
There's no way I'd pry but I do think that they should wait. They haven't even been dating that long and they even briefly broke up once. Plus, they're 19! Do the long and complicated math and that ='s they'll be married when they're twenty!!! But it's there life and it could still work out

So I'll just shut up and mind my own business ;) besides, I'm still really pumped to see Mac getting married!! XD awesome AKA CONGRATS to them :)

The hockey games have been going well but the season's almost over =( It's okay - I went to all of the home games so I'm sure I can survive until next year.
Words cannot even describe how much I'm looking forward to next weekend. My parents are coming to visit and they're staying Saturday AND Sunday night!!! Cannot wait!!!! :D They're even going to the hockey game with Kyle and I and I'm soooo excited. Definitely gonna make my mom do the hockey cheers with me :P THEN I think I'm gonna go on a shopping spree on Sunday which I'm totally excited for. And Kyle's taking me shopping! :D What a cupcake and what a weekend!!! Yayyyyyyyyy
OH! And did anyone watch The Office last night?!!! Craaazyyyy - not the funniest episode I've ever seen and Michael was completely over-the-top and to put it bluntly, an asshole. But Phyllis and Bob are married now yayyyyyyyyy! :D
And! I'm gonna put it out there.....I'm happy about what happened with Pam and Roy...HERE ME OUT! He's a realllyyy nice guy now and frankly, I'm really tired of the whole Jim and Pam thing now.
PS. Does anybody else think that the Mac in the Apple commercial is a total douchebag to the PC?

PSS. I don't know if there are any Arrested fans that read this but does anyone else just get sad when they hear The Final Countdown now?

Hope everyone's New Year was fantastic. Mine certainly was. I spent it with my sweetie and lots of other people...I'm not gonna name everyone..mostly because there were too many. And I don't remember all of them. Anyways, it was good fun doing what almost everyone does on New Years. Sure, being cliche and stereotypical can be fun sometimes. In fact, it almost always is. Yet still people get mad if you tell them they're acting as such. And I will continue to as well.
What did everyone else do?
I go back to school tomorrow and I'm pretty psyched. Don't worry - I'm not excited about classes. I'm simply just excited to see Kirsten and Courtney. They're pretty cool dudes.
I'd post my class schedule if only I knew what it was at all. But I think it goes a little something like this:
Monday: classes of some sort 8:30 - 2:30, Red Cedar 6 pm
Tuesday: French 11:30 - 12:20, work 12:30 - 2:30 (hard day's work right there)
Wednesday: tons of class going on until who knows when
Thursday: French 11:30 - 12:20, work 12:30 - 2:30, The Office 8:30 (it's part of the curriculum)
Friday: French 11:30 - 12:20, work 5:30-9 (!) (every other weekend)
Saturday: work 5:30 - 9

and they all drank lemonade..

Anyways, Merry Christmas! What did everyone get?? I got a digital camera obviously :) and I'm totally stoked about it...

It's a little messy and greasy in this picture so it doesn't look quite like Kirsten's but when it's straight - it's spot on......fucken weird!!!

Went to a Fury game tonight - it was fun but a little lame since the defense played miserably. Go fuck yourself, Dolyny.

Well I'm going home in less than a half hour and I'm reallyyyy excited about it. I probably sound like a nerd but I can't wait to see my mom. She rules. Exams were okay - not quite as bad as I was expecting but we'll see. I reallyy need to do well this semester and I think I can do it. I'm really excited about Christmas and New Years too. Hopefully I'll get to see some of my friends over break. And some Fury games since they pwn. (wha?) Man, there's a lot I need to update about/on and I suddenly and ironically can't remember any of it. My rat, Bernard died :( so basically I'm less nurturing than a sewer. But when Kirsten went back home for the night, she brought back the cutest little mini baby rat! He looks like a little baby Bernard except this one's name is Franklin (and if you religiously watch Arrested Development, you'll know who he's named after). So at least Bernard's in a better place now (RIP). Bernard and Euston were such good pals....:(

Thanksgiving was nice. I went over to my step cousin's place. They were making fun of me because I don't talk much. It was all in good fun though.

Does anyone remember the show 2 Stupid Dogs? Or Clone High? How awesome were those shows?

Pretty awesome.

I agree.

Happy Holidays (what'd everyone ask for?)
